Remembering Ramin Nagachian
Iranian-German Ramin Naghachian showed promise as an electronic musician from childhood, taking piano lessons since age six and building his own Z80 8-bit computer system at 13. He launched his own dial-in database service at 16, around which time he also directed a low-budget film based on a script he wrote titled Träume sind Schäum.
Naghachian got connected in the Frankfurt scene at age 17, and he went on to release music under his solo project beginning in 1991 through such labels as Dance Ecstasy 2001 and Logic Records. He is perhaps best known as one half of Afrotrance alongside Peter Grünwald. Their music together found a home on labels like R&S Records, Sven Väth‘s Harthouse, and Fresh Flavour.
No memorial details for Ramin Naghachian have been shared with the public at the time of writing.
