Each year, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) hosts a cycle fundraiser for South African music education initiative Bridges For Music. The COVID-19 crisis has called for significant changes to the format of the 2020 conference, including a social distancing-compliant version of the charity event.
Rather than riding through Amsterdam together, DJs and industry figureheads will pedal in place on stationary bikes in clubs throughout the world. The event will be live streamed via Beatport‘s Twitch channel. Richie Hawtin, Rebekah and Themba are among the artists participating in the fundraiser.
Earlier in October, ADE also announced the details of their ADE Pro and ADE Online experiences. The former is ticketed and fuses fuses the largely digital conference with a newly introduced social media platform. The latter is free for anyone around the world and consists of panel talks, workshops, masterclasses and crossover appearances in addition to DJ sets.
Amsterdam Dance Event Charity Cycle 2020 will take place on October 21st starting at 2:00 PM CEST. More information is available on the official website, and donations can be made via Tiltify.
