Just over 14 years after joining forces, drum and bass duo SpectraSoul have broken up and shared their intention to pursue solo projects.
SpectraSoul (real names Jack Stevens and David Kennett) shared a statement on social media announcing the split. The chaotic nature of 2020, they explained, has given them time to realize that this was the best decision for both of them. They went on to thank their fans and colleagues for all the support over the years and promise that they will be back “under our new guises.”

Before the worldwide music shutdown due to COVID-19, the duo regularly performed around the world. After that, they took part in the occasional live-streamed event but on the release front, they’ve been quiet for some time. It’s not yet clear what form their new projects will take and if they will be returning to drum and bass individually. At the time of writing, no new music from their solo projects has been announced.
