Although the 2017 festival season is well under way, plenty of promoters are still making lineup announcements for events later in the season. Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is among them, and its organizers have just revealed the first bunch of artists to appear on the massive gathering’s roster.
House and techno is in no short supply at this year’s ADE. Danny Tenaglia, Adam Beyer, Jeff Mills, Joris Voorn and DJ Pierre are but a few of the 74 artists named in a post to the ADE website. Mainstream EDM is considerably less representated than in years past, with only Martin Garrix, Marshmello, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and David Guetta appearing on the roster thus far.
Interestingly, about the same weight has been given to trance artists; Paul Oakenfold, Sean Tyas, Vini Vici and Ferry Corsten will perform at one of the events comprising the festival.
ADE’s 2016 edition boasted 375,000 visitors, 2,200 artists and 550 speakers across 140 venues and included electronic music events large and small as well as seminars and workshops all over Amsterdam. This year’s edition promises to up the number of artists to 2,500.
Amsterdam Dance Event will take place from October 18th-22nd. Tickets can be purchased on the event website, and you can find the artists included on the first lineup announcement below.
