Arguably the fastest-rising live electronic musician and humorist has proven adaptive to the COVID-19 pandemic event landscape. Marc Rebillet has announced the world’s first drive-in concert tour. So far it consists of five dates from June 11th to July 2nd, 2020.

Drive-in raves have taken off in Germany as the need for social distancing has led to business restrictions that have challenged business owners the world over. “We need a musical distraction now more than ever,” Rebillet said in a statement obtained by Mixmag. “I’m deeply pumped to be able to invite people to see me play live in a new, creative and most importantly, safe way.”

United Talent Agency (UTA) and HOTBOX have partnered on the tour, which currently sees him visit cities in the Southern U.S. “Marc is a groundbreaking artist and his rare combination of innovative humor and wit will deliver an unparalleled live experience when we need it most,” said UTA Partner and Global Head of Music David Zedeck.

Provocateur

Marc Rebillet has amassed an ever-growing cult following for his funk and soul-leaning style of live electronic music, not to mention his often raunchy and suggestive lyrics. The performance art and humor aspects of his brand have undoubtedly helped him stand out in a highly saturated market.

Notably, his format him something of an anomaly among musicians. Although his music can be found on more traditional digital service providers, the lion’s share of his exposure has come from recordings of his live performances on YouTube.
