Berghain to Bring in the New Year with 60-Hour Event

by | Nov 15, 2017 | News | 0 comments

Berghain has long stood as a bastion of Berlin counterculture, and its upcoming New Years Eve gathering reflects that. The controversial techno nightclub’s management has announced that the event, billed as Silvester Klubnacht, will run for 60 consecutive hours.

40 house and techno artists will perform across four separate rooms to celebrate the turn of the year. Ben KlockEtapp Kyle and Rødhåd are among the artists slated to perform in the Berghain room, whereas the Panorama Bar will host the likes of Anthony ParasoleDanny Tenaglia and The Black Madonna. The remaining two rooms – billed as XXX-Floor and Elektroakustischer Salon – showcase much fewer artists than their counterparts.

The 2017 edition of the New Years Eve event will run longer than the last two previous installments. In 2014, however, it extended 66 hours in total. Only a small handful of the DJs performing this year had been billed three years ago; most of the current repeats made their Silvester debut in the next couple of years.

Silvester Klubnacht at Berghain is slated to begin at Midnight on December 31st and extend through Noon, January 2nd. Find the full lineup below.
