A historic Daft Punk performance at Los Angeles’ Mayan Theater streamed on Twitch.

Beginning at 2:22pm PST on February 22, 2022, the stream marked one year since the French duo announced their split. It also coincides with the 25th-anniversary edition rerelease of their highly influential album Homework, which is available on streaming platforms now.

The featured performance was part of Daftendirektour, their first live tour that lasted from January to December of 1997. During this tour, they traveled extensively throughout Europe and North America. For the tour, the duo decided to use their own home studio equipment to play tracks and drop in samples. Very little footage from this tour exists, making the stream a unique opportunity for fans.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary, the re-release of “Homework” includes remixes from Masters at WorkDJ SneakTodd BerryMotorbass, and more. Nine of these remixes have been unavailable on streaming platforms until now.

A vinyl edition of Homework and their live album, Alive ’97, will be available once again starting on April 15th. Recorded at the Que Club on November 8th, 1997 as part of Daftendirektour, Alive ’97 features a 45-minute set featuring numerous elements that can be seen in the Mayan Theater stream.
