Just because Switzerland has loosened restrictions doesn’t mean lawmakers are taking COVID-19 lightly. After several new cases of the disease were tied to Flamingo Club in Zurich, 300 patrons have been instructed to quarantine for 10 days.
According to Mixmag, a total of six people who attended Flamingo Club came down with the virus. One was diagnosed on Thursday, and the remaining five cases were confirmed the following day. Management provided authorities with information about the patrons and staff who were present over the weekend, and they were contacted and told to isolate.
The COVID-19 cases tied to Flamingo Club are among 69 new ones confirmed on Friday and Saturday. At the beginning of the week, Switzerland had begun permitting events of up to 1,000 for the first time since late February.
Meanwhile, venues in the U.K. and Ibiza are looking to open in early July whereas Perth nightclubs no longer require social distancing.
