Dreamstate has punctuated the two week mark leading up to its flagship event with a video. In anticipation of the 2017 edition of Dreamstate SoCal, the all-trance festival’s organizers have released its official trailer.
A montage of crowd and stage shots taken during last year’s installment of the festival is sandwiched between CG animation segments. The imagery depicts an abstract sequence which concludes with a flying structure like the ones depicted in Dreamstate event flyers emerging from a futuristic compound.
Destination Ahead
The inaugural 2015 edition of Dreamstate SoCal arguably returned classic styles of trance to relevance in North America. Tickets to the festival sold out within hours of going on sale, giving Insomniac Events cause to expand the brand into numerous locations around the world.
Each year, the festival’s bookings spark controversy among the trance diehards targeted by the festival’s organizers. The 2017 lineup includes the most controversial name yet, however. Although Armin van Buuren was once a poster child for the genre, more selective fans are divided in their opinions of him. In addition to performing solo, he will also take the stage alongside Benno de Goeij as Gaia, the duo’s “pure trance” side project.
Dreamstate SoCal returns to the National Orange Show Event Center in San Bernardino on November 24th and 25th. Find the 2017 lineup below and purchase tickets here.
