Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood is being accused of multiple instances of sexual misconduct between 1992 and 2017.
The BBC and The Guardian launched a joint investigation into the allegations. So far, seven women have come forward to give detailed accounts of an alleged history of predatory behavior, unwanted touching, and unwanted sexual acts.
All seven women interviewed met Westwood through his work. Some of them claim that he abused his power.
Two women aspiring to work in the music industry were allegedly invited to London to meet Westwood and discuss music. Instead, they say he drove them to an apartment and initiated unwanted/uninitiated sex. One of the women was allegedly 19 at the time, while Westwood was 53.
Another woman told BBC investigators that she met Westwood when she was seventeen and he was in his mid-30s. The woman, a member of an R&B group at the time, alleges that Westwood subjected her to unwanted oral sex.
Interviewers spoke to four other women who allege that Westwood touched their buttocks or breasts while posing for photographs at events where he performed.
Westwood, a nationally broadcast radio personality, has denied all of the allegations.
