Goldie‘s record label Metalheadz turned 25 in 2019, but a proper celebration was delayed until next year. “25 Years Of Metalheadz” will consist of single drops leading up to a full album of music from the U.K. drum and bass label’s celebrated alumni. The series kicks off January 15th, 2021.
The first release of “25 Years Of Metalheadz” will be a reissue of “Up All Night” by John B, which first came out in 2001. It will include a remastered version of the original as well as a remix by Data 3 and an “Epic Remix” by John B himself.
The rest of the series will include re-releases of music by Kaotic Chemistry, Detboi, Asylum, Mark System, Goldie (real name Clifford Joseph Price MBE) himself and others, according to Resident Advisor.
“25 Years Of Metalheadz” will follow the conclusion of Price’s “Timeless Capsule,” which consisted of exclusive content to commemorate the 25th anniversary of his album, Timeless. Most recently, he released a remix pack of one of the effort’s most famous singles, “Inner City Life” featuring Diane Charlemagne.
Prior to the general release of the “Up All Night” reissue, it will be available early via Bandcamp. Pre-order is available across platforms here.
