Returning to Archie Hamilton‘s Moss Co. imprint is Dutch DJ and producer Joren Edwards. His Adjust EP comprises three tracks of deep and soulful minimal house. It released July 31st, 2020.
“Adjust” sees lush deep house chords intermingle with a spoken-word vocal sample from which the song derives its name. “Bongolo,” premiered via Trommel, takes the tempo lower for an instrumental DJ tool before the EP closes out with “Combo,” an upbeat and delightfully dissonant concept.
More on Joren
Based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Joren Edwards studied at the music production school Herman Brood Academie. His traditional yet forward-thinking sound derives influence from Romanian artists like SIT, Arapu and Suciu as well as Ferro, a fellow Dutchman.
Hamilton’s Moss Co. was the proud home of his 2019 debut effort, the For The Terrace EP. In the short time since he’s added releases on such labels as Miriam and PIV Limited to his résumé.
