A social distancing-compliant festival is slated to take place in London’s Alexandra Palace. UNLOCKED, as it’s billed, replaces Kaleidoscope Festival, which would have taken place July 25th. Organizers have begun announcing headliners for the August 30th, 2020 gathering.
As it stands, DJ Yoda and Norman Jay MBE are the only artists on the UNLOCKED lineup with more names to follow. The Kaleidoscope team promise to operate at 60% capacity in addition to social distancing and cleaning measures.
“We are really looking forward to bringing some music and good times back for people to enjoy,” reads a passage of an UNLOCKED statement. “We’re putting a lot of work into ensuring we can deliver our event in a safe way. Our approach is based on direction from the government and health agencies. With guidance developing week by week, we are continuing to work closely with all the relevant experts and organizations.”
Organizers say they will pull out of the event if lawmaker guidance changes or they cannot move forward safely. More information can be found on the Kaleidoscope Festival website.
