Illegal Pressure Miami Event Held in Warehouse Formerly Known as Wynwood Factory

Since October, the City of Miami has been subject to a midnight curfew intended to curb the spread of COVID-19. That didn’t stop DAG Productions from hosting an installment of their traveling Pressure Miami series in the warehouse venue that used to be called Wynwood Factory, carrying over into the early morning on Thanksgiving.

According to the Miami New Times, a short video that circulated on social media shows clubgoers packed together in the venue – many of whom aren’t wearing masks. Another shows a line of people around the block where the club is situated on 55 NE 24th St.

Wynwood Factory founder Luis Puig denied any involvement in the event. After the club was forced to close in March, he failed to reach an agreement with Bloomberg and Levine, the firm who owns the property. Their business relationship ended shortly thereafter, and event company Dirty Rabbit Group was brought in to replace him.

David Garay of DAG productions would not say who enlisted him for the event. Bloomberg and Levine spokesperson Eleazar Melendez told the New Times that they know about the photos and have had conversations with the Dirty Rabbit Group about the potential health hazards of such gatherings. Andres San Martin and Jonathan Taborda of the Dirty Rabbit Group denied involvement with the event – but San Martin shared a photo of himself attending it via Instagram.

At the time of writing, over 1.1 million COVID-19 cases have been reported in Florida with nearly 20,000 resulting deaths.
