Roland’s firmware update for the SP-404MKII includes a brand-new sampling and effects engine. The sampler now uses an upgraded VariPhrase encoder algorithm and expands on its current MFX library.

TR-REC sequencing is now available for the sampler. This allows the SP-404MKII SP to use an all-new recording mode along with its famed real-time recording.
