A man who fell ill while attending an event at The Warehouse Project in Manchester has passed away, according to officials.

While a name and age hasn’t been released, the Manchester Evening News reports that a man in his early 20s was taken to the hospital after becoming sick. The incident occurred on the morning of Saturday, April 9th at MK – Return to Manchester, an event that saw MK perform at the Mayfield Depot.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed the death in a statement on Sunday, April 10th. “Officers were called to a report of a death of a male at a hospital this morning. A male in his 20s was taken ill at Warehouse Project in the city centre in the early hours on Saturday (9 April) and taken to hospital where he sadly died on Sunday afternoon,” they wrote. At this time, they are not treating his death as suspicious.

A spokesperson for The Warehouse Project also released a statement, saying that that they have “sadly learnt that he has since [being sent to the hospital] passed away. At this stage, we do not know any further details or cause of death. Our thoughts are very much with his family and friends.”

This is not the first time authorities have been called to The Warehouse Project. In October of last year, two men were stabbed at one of their events.
