Beloved Chicago underground house and techno club Spybar will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a series of shows.

Dubbing it the “Anniversary Event Series,” Spybar will host numerous events throughout 2022 that explore its “storied past, present, and future.” While the entire calendar hasn’t been released yet, the first show begins on Sunday, February 20th (President’s Day Weekend). Dirtybird artists The Martin Brothers (Christian Martin and Justin Martin) are scheduled to perform.

Spybar is a vaccinated-only venue, meaning that only people who are vaccinated against COVID-19 may enter. Proof of vaccination is required for entry (either a vaccination card or a picture of a vaccination card), and masks must be at all times except when drinking.

Founded in 1995 in the River North neighborhood of Chicago, Spybar is a 4,500-square-foot underground (literally, in a basement) dance club. It now hosts world-renowned electronic music artists from around the globe. In 2013, Rolling Stone recognized it as #9 in a list titled “The Best Dance Clubs in America.”
