Movement Electronic Music Festival, a long-running gathering in Detroit, has announced part of its 2022 schedule with a “teaser lineup.”
Taking place from May 28th-30th, the event will feature artists such as Adam Beyer, The Blessed Madonna, and Louie Vega. The festival will take place at Hart Plaza, a Detroit venue that has hosted the event since its inception.
Tickets begin at $229 for GA, and VIP tickets are sold out. As of this writing, there are no clear COVID-19 guidelines in place. Organizers write that they will “be working with local officials to implement necessary safety precautions and will follow state and local health guidelines in place a the time of the event.”
Movement’s history can be traced backed to 2000 when the inaugural event was called Detroit Electronic Music Festival (DEMF). DEMF took place annually at Hart Plaza until financial problems forced it to discontinue in 2006. At that point, local production company Paxahau secured the Labor Day Weekend date and venue from the original organizers and changed the name of the festival to “Movement.” Since then, it has successfully operated for over ten years.
Those interested in purchasing tickets can do so on the Movement Electronic Music Festival website.
