Renowned U.K. venue Motion Bristol has announced its first string of events for 2022.
Between drum and bass, techno, house and disco, the venue has events planned until early next year. Starting on January 21st, LGBTQIA+ party night Possession team up with Boiler Room for the first Motion event in 2022. Attendees can also catch DJ Fresh, Sub Focus, and Ewan McVicar throughout January.
In February, Motion has secured shows with Kurupt FM, Dimension, Adam Beyer, and Shy FX , among others. They will also host the 25th anniversary celebration for GZA‘s seminal album, Liquid Swords.
Following that, partygoers get the chance to see Skream, Jeff Mills, LSDXOXO, and Wolfgang Flür (ex-Kraftwerk) in March. To top that off, De La Soul and many more live concerts have been added to the billings.
At the start of 2020, Motion had announced an extensive, 20-show-program including names like Goldie, Sampa The Great, and Honey Dijon. After calling off events due to COVID-19, the venue now has the chance to execute its plans.
“We are elated to share with everyone our first lineups for 2022; we are extremely proud of this first phase of shows and wanted to make sure that we started the year with a bang,” Motion booker Travis Derrick told Mixmag. “With everything from house to drum and bass, disco to techno and so much more, there is an incredibly diverse range of events featuring some of the best artists within each genre.”
Motion is situated in the musical melting pot of Bristol. Originally starting out as a self-built skate park, it has been voted as DJ Mag‘s 11th best club in the world and U.K.’s best large club.
More info on lineups and ticketing is available on the Motion Bristol website.
