UNUM Festival has announced that its 2022 edition will take place from Wednesday, June 1st-Monday, June 6th. It also announced its first wave of headliners.
Founded in 2019, UNUM Festival takes place at Rana e Hedhun beach in the Albanian town of Shëngjin. The 2020 edition was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021, however, Albanian officials allowed the festival to go on with one caveat: attendees must submit to a rapid test before entering. This made Albania the first country in the world to allow large gatherings to occur with such safeguards in place.
The same protocols are in place for 2022. Attendees must test negative, and if they test positive they will be given the opportunity to re-test. Anyone who does not pass the test will not receive a refund and be required to self-isolate.
Spread across three different stages showcasing different genres of music, the open-air festival bills itself as a combination of four elements: the sand, the pines, the sea, and the mountains. The phase one lineup of 41 artists includes names such as Seth Troxler, Alban Hi-Dini, and Jay Fase. No word has been given on when the second phase will be announced.
