A new, long-awaited club called Surreal is opening before the year’s end. Its official opening event is scheduled for December 26, 2021.
Located in the coastal city of Santa Catarina, events at the space will be promoted by Brazilian booking agency D-EDGE. The agency was founded in 2011 by producer Renato Ratier. On top of managing events at Surreal, D-EDGE runs numerous clubs and parties throughout the Rio Di Janeiro area. Before working on Surreal Ratier worked on the Warung Beach Club, another popular dance club along the Brazilian coast.
According to a concept video, the 92,000 square-meter complex will consist of three stages: the Nomad Stage, Bells Stage, and Raw Room Stage. Each one caters to different genres.
To mark the venue’s opening, a three-day-long event is planned. Artists on the lineup include Paul Ritch, Guti, Sebastian Léger, and more. Over Thirty more events are already planned for the next year, including the debut of The BPM Festival Brazil.
Speaking of the club, Ratier says “music has been running through my veins since I was a child so I am committed to continuing to grow electronic music in Brazil. This new project will do that and very soon everyone will be able to experience the surreal sensations that the new complex will offer.”
