A new nightclub called Rash opened in the Bushwick neighborhood of New York City last weekend.

Before throwing a grand opening party on Friday, October 22nd, the venue hosted a series of “soft opening” events. The opening night festivities included SHYBOI, a New York-based artist. SHYBOI is part of the talent agency Discwoman, which represents numerous electronic music artists.

Rash plans to be open seven days a week from 5:00 PM-2:00 AM and will feature live jazz throughout the week on top of electronic music shows. It is located at 941 Willoughby, near other popular Bushwick venues such as Mood Ring.

As of this writing, the club does not have any upcoming electronic music shows scheduled according to their Eventbrite page. Anyone interested in keeping up to date with their event calendar can follow them on their Instagram page.

The club’s opening comes as New York City, once a hotbed of the COVID-19 pandemic, continues loosening restrictions. As of this past August, NYC nightclubs are open at full capacity. In order to gain entry, however, attendees must show proof of at least one vaccine shot as part of the city’s “Key to NYC” program. As of October 25th, 73.6% of New York state’s population has had one vaccine shot while 66.2% has had both.
