In the wake of last year’s Black Lives Matter protests, a database of Black artists called Black Bandcamp was crowdsourced. French drum and bass and footwork artist DJ soyboi has endeavored to do the same for non-binary creatives across disciplines with the Non Binary Artists and Creatives Database.
The spreadsheet is split into five tabs: “Artists;” “Dancers;” “Lighting Technicians;” “DJs and Producers;” and “Bands and Singers.” “Artists” presently boasts the highest number of names at 96, followed by “DJs and Producers” at 73.

Girls of the Internet, Data Recovery, Kiwi, Outsider and India Jordan are among those listed in the “DJs and Producers” tab. Genres from techno to IDM to ambient to bass music are represented on the list.
As noted by Jordan, who shared the database via Twitter, the database’s introduction coincided with International Non-Binary People’s Day. “I don’t want to see no more excuses for lack of NB representation,” they wrote.
