The organizers of Sonus Festival have announced the first of wave of artists for the gathering’s 2022 edition. It will take place at Zrće Beach on Pag Island, Croatia from August 21st-25th, 2022.
Techno fans will have the chance to hear sets by Dax J, Chris Liebing and Richie Hawtin among many others. Additionally, there will be live perfomances by Giorgia Angiuli, KiNK, Stephan Bodzin and Reinier Zonneveld.
Attendees will also have the chance to celebrate in renowned Zrće Beach clubs Aquarius, Kalypso and Papaya at both day and night. Additionally, there will be boat parties across the four days as well as after parties.
The announcement follows the 2021 festival’s cancellation due to growing uncertainty around COVID-19. A statement on their Facebook page reads as follows:
“Dear Sonus Fans, today we unfortunately have to announce that there will be no Sonus Festival in 2021. Given all the limitations and restrictions we expected to encounter, we do not believe that we could have presented an experience worthy of what Sonus stands for – and let’s not forget that safety comes first.“
“Sonus will be postponed to the week from August 21st-25th 2022.“ It goes on. “When the time finally comes, you can expect a typical Sonus lineup – a high caliber selection of house and techno’s finest.“
Sonus Festival is a gathering organized by cosmopop, the minds behind Time Warp in Mannheim, Germany. It will celebrate its 8th anniversary in 2022.
