Berlin is getting a brand new open-air club. ÆDEN is set to open in the German capital’s Kreuzberg District this weekend, with performances by Juliana Huxtable, Session Victim, Mehmet Aslan, Oskar., and Reka among the festivities.
A small, open-air venue, ÆDEN’s capacity is set at 350 with the club opening in accordance with Berlin’s current COVID-19 restrictions. Those guidances continue to prohibit dancing in a typical nightlife or live entertainment setting in order to comply with social distancing rules. In the meantime, ÆDEN will operate as a beer garden featuring music.
ÆDEN describes itself in its Instagram bio as “A playground of elysian charm distinguished by a carefully selected program. A modern pleasure garden full of manifold stories.”
The venue will also host art installations on a regular basis. ÆDEN’s inaugural art exhibition will feature works from Leonardo Wassermann, IIA, Isakov, Santiago Doljanin, and Tessa Bozek in the Gællery Garden.
“Hundreds of days of lockdown leave invisible marks,” reads ÆDEN’s manifesto, posted to the club’s Instagram story highlights. “Art provides medicine and therapy for the soul. Through art we find distraction and clarity, new perspectives create a much-needed contextual framework to make sense of our times. All guests are invited to moments of relaxation at ÆDEN with their loved ones, accompanied by selected drinks.”
ÆDEN Berlin’s opening weekend will commence this Saturday and Sunday, June 12th and 13th, at 2:00 PM Berlin time. Tickets are available online at ÆDEN’s official website for Sunday, June 13th only. Online pre-sale tickets are not available for the June 12th date.
