Los Angeles-based promoters Dialogue and Midnight Lovers have teamed up to open a new record store. Chapter One is an appointment-only vinyl shop, featuring consignment records from LA locals and stock from established labels. The store’s focus is rare dance music vinyl.
Fresh off of the launch of Dialogue’s new record imprint, Dialogue Records, the brand partnered with fellow promoter Midnight Lovers for the new venture that will see consignment vinyl from DJs and collectors like TK, Daddy Differently, and SONNS. Shelves will also be stocked from record labels including Visionquest, Stones Throw, and Let’s Play House.
Chapter One has also hosted its first live stream event, which featured DJs Connor Mikami and Pasha. The broadcast was posted to YouTube in February, but is currently the only event of it’s kind. No word yet on if the record store has more live stream events planned for the future.
