Back in January, organizers officially canceled the 2021 iteration of Glastonbury Festival due to COVID-19. With vaccines being administered across The U.K., many have been asking if there are any smaller-scale events in the works in the absence of the flagship event. Last week, co-organizer Emily Eavis shared an update on their plans for 2021 and revealed that they’ve submitted an application for two events this year.

As detailed in her post, one of the applications is for September at their longtime home of Worthy Farm. The second event is for an undisclosed date in the summer at the same location. Due to the licensing process, Eavis has stated that the results of their application will likely take a few months.
When announcing the pair of prospective events, Eavis mentioned that the latter of the two is “not for partying.” While details of what she means remain unclear, the September outing has been described as a concert.
The next chapter of Glastonbury is scheduled to take place June 22nd-26th, 2022 at Worthy Farm in Somerset, England. More information on the event can be found on the event website.
