Thomas Coastline real name Tomáš Malina), a Czech DJ and producer of trance, progressive house, and melodic techno, has died at age 35.
Trance Project reports that Malina passed away after a battle with cancer. Artists like Darren Porter, Markus Schulz, and Marcus Schössow posted social media tributes after hearing the news. Major brands like A State Of Trance and Transmission paid their respects as well.

Remembering Thomas Coastline
A DJ and producer since the age of 16, Tomáš Malina first produced hard trance under the moniker Bass Detect. He first rose into fame in 2008 when superstar DJ Armin van Buuren supported his single, “After Hour,” on his A State Of Trance radio show ahead of its release the following year.
Malina was perhaps best known as the warm-up DJ for Transmission, a festival that takes place annually in Prague. He also reached listeners across the globe with songs like “Tears,” “Ultralight,” “Illusions” and “Love Victims.”
No details of a memorial for Tomáš Malina have been shared with the public at the time of writing.
