As with countless festivals the world over, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the organizers of Magnetic Fields to forego their 2020 event in Alsisar, India. They have now introduced an event brand called Nomads that will debut on March 19th-21st at the Nahargarh Ranthambore hotel (pictured) in the Khilchipur town of the country’s Rajasthan state.
No lineup details have been announced for Nomads as of yet, but previous editions of Magnetic fields billed international talent like Maribou State and Blawan as well as Indian acts like Corridors, Okedo and Yung.Raj. The event will have a focus on wellness activities and culinary offerings as well as an emphasis on environmental sustainability.
Notably, all attendees and staff will be required to show negative COVID-19 test result 24 hours prior to arriving the festival grounds. Only 400 attendees will be allowed for the debut event, and they will be required to wear face coverings and comply with social distancing guidelines.
“Magnetic Fields Nomads is a new project that we have been dreaming up over the last few years,” said the organizers in a joint statement. “Our focus this year is on championing and supporting local excellence in food, culture and music as we cautiously celebrate the encouraging signs of revival in India.”
More information on the event is available on the Magnetic Fields Nomads website.
