In a recent interview, Robbie Williams revealed that he wants to open a club in Berlin that’s “a bit like Berghain.” Fans of the British pop star were also excited to hear that alongside the business venture, he would like to start DJing and form a new band. In a quote obtained by Der Spiegel, Williams details his range of goals: “I’m going to start a band and be a DJ and want to rent rooms in Berlin, a gallery with my art, and in the evening it will be a club.”
He then took to Instagram and lay out more details on his ambitions via a live stream. It’s being reported that he’s set to team up with Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis once again for the new band. Some may remember that the trio previously worked together on Williams’ 2012 album, Take the Crown. He’s stated that they’ve already music completed and it will be played at “certain venues” around the world. Furthermore, he’s explained that he can see his prospective club and gallery combination opening in Toyko.
At the time of writing, Robbie Williams has not announced any firm release dates for his new music or shared any specific timeline as to when his proposed Berghain-inspired venue will open.
