A digital gathering called Boudica Music Conference has been organized in the interest of exploring issues confronting Womxn and non-binary people in dance music. In partnership with Mixcloud, The Musicians Union, Keychange, The AIM, and The Weird and The Wonderful, it will be live streamed from The Freemasons Hall in London on November 15th.
The conference will begin at 11:00 AM with panel talks on mental health, marketing, the gender gap in dance music, and the COVID-19 crisis. Then, from 3:00-7:00 PM, DJs like object blue, Tasha, Proteus, and Samantha Togni (the mind behind Boudica) will perform.
“The main focus of the project is to inspire more Womxn and non-binary people to become involved in the music industry by delivering content from professionals they align with,” said Togni in a press release. “The conference will be lead by a variety of working industry professionals to give insight into what their roles involve and the challenges they face working within the industry.”
Boudica Music Conference can be live streamed free of charge via Dice.FM. More information can be found on their Facebook event page.
