Save Our Scene has opened up applications for a new grant to help bring more diversity and inclusivity to the Manchester and Salford music community.

The local organization has assembled a team of judges who will vote on the ideas and choose a winner based on ability to create long-term change. They announced the grant on their Facebook page last week.

In an effort to raise funds for the grant, Save Our Scene is selling T-shirts featuring local organizers with “BRB” printed the front. They have stated that their goal is to collect £5,000 to give out to the selected applicant. In addition to the shirt, they offer a compilation album whose proceeds will be split evenly between the featured artists and the fundraiser. Those interested can purchase a BRB shirt or album on their Bandcamp storefront.

Applications for Save Our Scene’s grant are now open. The entry form was opened on October 7th and organizers have announced that locals will be able to apply for three weeks. Residents of Manchester and Salford can enter for a chance to have their project funded here.
