Fans and artists alike are mourning the recent death of Michael Zucker. After fighting colon cancer for two years, he was eventually moved to hospice earlier in the week and passed away two days later.

For decades, Zucker was a popular DJ and operated his own label, Finale Sessions, whose first release came out in 2018. Many friends, family, collaborators, and fans shared stories of how much the Boston-born performer meant to them and the community. On Facebook, the Florida-based Open House Conspiracy shared a tribute to the late DJ celebrating his accomplishments.

At the time of writing, Zucker’s listed website and Facebook page are offline but his label’s SoundCloud profile is still active. According to the page, his most recent release, “City Streets,” came out a year ago.

A GoFundMe page has been set up in his honor, with proceeds collected to help his family cover Michael Zucker’s funeral expenses. Donate or learn more about the fundraiser here.
