Selector’s Sounds series follows a procedure that puts music quality before status or industry relationships. Learn how it works.

After landing on the likes of Oscillat MusicSlow Life and Slap FunkHuerta has announced the launch of his own record label. Leizure‘s debut release will be a three-track minimal techno and house 12-inch record titled Dog At Sea. No release date has been announced at the time of writing.

In the meantime, Huerta (full name Steve Huerta) has shared track previews from the EP. “Ruff Groove” encapsulates a robotic yet soulful iteration of his sound, while the title track incorporates more organic percussive elements. “Wavy Bro” closes out the EP on a deeper note by framing the arrangement with rippling waves of reverb delay.

Dog At Sea will follow Huerta’s May EP, Junipero, which arrived by way of U.K. label Voyage. He was also enlisted to remix “Bad Birdy” by Mathijs SMIT and contributed a single for Nuances De Nuit Vol. 4. The former arrived in March and the latter in July.

Dog At Sea is available for pre-order in vinyl format via deejay.de.
