COVID-19 doesn’t look like it will vanish anytime soon, and entertainment brands are planning accordingly. In conjunction with Newcastle’s This Is Tomorrow FestivalSSD Concerts have announced the U.K.’s first social distancing-compliant venue of its size: the Virgin Money Unity Arena.

Situated in the Newcastle Racecourse, the Arena offers discrete viewing platforms two meters apart from one another. It can safely host 2,500 attendees who will have one-way access to restrooms and refreshments. DJs and other musicians will only be a cross section of the entertainment offered as comedians and other acts will take to the stage at the Arena.

The announcement follows news of Northern Ireland’s first social distancing-compliant festivalUnlock, which is the brainchild of Stendhal Festival‘s organizers, expects attendance of 500-1,000. The lineup for both weekends was announced on January 3rd.

Virgin Money Unity Arena has promised a “huge lineup announcement” of their own for Tuesday, July 7th, with a ticket on-sale slated for July 10th, 2020.
