Black Lives Matter protests worldwide continue to amplify the conversation about race and dance music – one that EPM Music has joined in a meaningful way. The distributor will release a fundraiser compilation for U.S. police reform initiative Campaign One. Break The Silence is due out July 4th, 2020, and it includes music by numerous respected figures in electronic music.
Eddie Fowlkes, Robert Hood, Ben Sims, Rebekah and Internal Affairs (comprised of Goldie and 4Hero) are but a few of the artists who donated tracks for the compilation. It will be available via Beatport, Juno Download,
About Campaign One
U.S. law enforcement has long been criticized for practices that contribute to systemic racism. Campaign One’s programs as a nonprofit organization include research, technical assistance, advocacy and development of legislations intended to eliminate police violence.
To that end, Campaign One calls for several specific changes in the way authorities operate. Among their proposed policy solutions are limiting use of force, independent investigation of police violence, increased training, and demilitarization.
