Bacterial meningitis claimed the life of Alex Theodossiadis nearly five months before his 26th birthday. Several DJs have agreed to deliver live-streamed sets in the U.K. garage aficionado’s memory as part of a fundraiser event called A Tribute To Alex T.

Alex T’s brother, Seb, organized the affair according to Resident Advisor. It begins on June 16th, 2020 and wraps up on his birthday four days later. Each day’s lineup has been curated by a different group. Tribe Records, the Leeds store where Theodossiadis worked, will host the first day, followed by Partisan, Left, Right & Centre and All Hands On Deck on the 17th. Heels & Souls will take over on the 18th, and On Rotation will close things out on the final day. Fans can watch the live streams for free, but all donations will go to Meningitis Now.

Prior to his January 28th passing, Theodossiadis was on his way to becoming a widely known figure in electronic music. Not only was he a Rinse FM resident, but he ran On Rotations events at Leeds club Wire.

Upon hearing of Theodossiadis’ death, dance music personalities like Paul WoolfordMinor Science and Mor Elian shared memories of him as reported by Fact Magazine. In addition, Bruce dedicated his January 29th installment of Noods Radio to the departed connoisseur.
