As COVID-19 continues to change the 2020 festival landscape, event curators are getting creative. Dutch duo ANOTR have announced an Amsterdam gathering called No Art Hotel that will comply with social distancing guidelines. The 24-hour event will take place across the A’DAM Toren and Sir Adam Hotel on June 20th, 2020.
No Art Hotel looks to explore an event format not yet seen during the pandemic. According to Mixmag, groups of up to 30 at a time can congregate in communal areas, and no more than four guests will be allowed to occupy a single room. Each one, however, comes equipped with a smart TV from which attendees can watch DJs perform in A’DAM’s The Loft venue. During the final part of the event, they will not be permitted to leave their rooms.
Tickets to ANOTR’s No Art Hotel are limited and will be sold by way of a lottery system. A portion of profits from each one will be donated to The Netherlands Red Cross Society. More information can be found at NoArtHotel.com.
