Ibiza nightlife provides the backdrop of Netflix‘s newest thriller series. White Lines was created by Spanish writer and director Alex Pina and premiered on Monday, May 18th.
The episodic series is set in the White Isles where the body of a Manchester DJ is discovered 20 years after he disappeared. His sister, played by Zoe Walker, travels to the idyllic destination to investigate his passing. In the process, she finds herself tangled in a web of crime and debauchery portrayed as accompanying the club scene. Other notable actors in prominent roles include Tom Rhys Harries, Daniel Mays, Angela Griffin, and Laurence Fox.
White Lines is by no means the first pop culture depiction of Ibiza nightlife. Summer Night Fever, Weekender and It’s All Gone Pete Tong are among the more memorable films set in the White Isles.
More information on White Lines can be found on the Netflix website.
