Squarepusher Shares “Nervelevers” from Upcoming Album

Squarepusher stoked fans’ interest for his upcoming album back in November with a lead single titled “Vortrack.” The U.K. producer has followed it up with “Nervelevers,” a drum and bass cut from Be Up A Hello – which arrives in full on January 31st, 2020.

“Nervelevers” sees Squarepusher (real name Tom Jenkinson) adhere to the formula for which he garnered worldwide renown over two decades ago. 8-bit arpeggios are underscored by a rapid, syncopated drum pattern with a tasteful amount of noise incorporated into pockets of the arrangement.

Pushing the Envelope

Jenkinson’s first release as Squarepusher was a 1995 12″ EP titled Conumber. He would go on to work on music with enigmatic IDM figurehead Aphex Twin, and maintained a steady release schedule all the way through the aughts. His last studio-length album arrived in the form of 2015’s Damogen Furies.

Pre-order for Be Up A Hello is available via Jenkinson’s official website. He will resume touring with a performance at the 2020 edition of CTM Festival in Berlin, Germany on January 31st, the same date as the album drop.
