After three years in the same city, Ableton will move its annual summit Stateside. The fourth edition of Loop will take place across a handful of venues in Los Angeles between November 9th-11th of 2018.
A statement on the Ableton website did not disclose any reasons for the location change. It did reveal EastWest Studios and the century-old Montalbán theater as its two presently confirmed locations.
Loop combines the entertainment appeal of more conventional live music events with workshops, speeches and other activities intended to educate its attendees. Ableton explains that the events are “aimed at sharing ideas on music, technology and creative practice.”
The conference’s organizers have not revealed any of the performers, speakers or demonstrators for this year’s festivities. The first lineup announcement of last year’s edition arrived in July and included the likes of Jlin, Machinedrum and William Basinski.
Ticket registration for the 2018 edition of Ableton’s Loop conference begins June 13th. Sign up for email updates on the event website.
