Melbourne Music Week hosts events at novel locations each year, and an especially historic venue will be featured in the 2017 edition. As part of next month’s festivities, DJ Hell has been enlisted to put together the all-techno lineup for an evening at St. Paul’s Cathedral.
The full Melbourne Music Week program has arrived, outlining all the events comprising the nine-day event. On the opening night, for instance, the Cathedral will showcase such artists as Julianna Barwick and Kath Bloom -but on November 18th, DJ Hell (whose real name is Helmut Josef Geier) will be accompanied by local DJs Honeysmack, Acid Safari and DJ Kiti.
Melbourne Music Week boasts 250 artists across 105 events in 40 locations throughout the city. The full entertainment roster encompasses every shade of the music spectrum, highlighting the city’s rich musical heritage while affording its locals opportunities to see international headliners. Each edition typically features events at unexpected locations; the State Library and an abandoned hospital have served as venues in years past.
Melbourne Music Week will take place from November 17th-25th. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the event website.
