If Sharam‘s new single is any indicator, the third set of songs from Collecti will exhibit more club-friendly leanings than the previous two. The former member of legendary house and techno duo Deep Dish has unveiled “Napoli” ahead of its official release on Yoshitoshi.
Where the first four tracks from Collecti bore distinct hallmarks of minimal techno, “Napoli” is characterized by infectious melodies. A keyboard solo just past the halfway mark makes it more cerebral than the average DJ tool, followed by an acid bass line that provides a measure of nostalgic appeal.
As a whole, Sharam had explained that Collecti would encapsulate a return to the darker sound at his origins. He announced that he would release the album in four installments consisting of four tracks apiece, concluding in the end of October, 2017.
“Scorpi,” by Sharam will arrive by way of Yoshitoshi along with the rest of Collecti Pt. 3 on September 15th.
