Machinedrum A.K.A. Travis Stewart has already led a prolific electronic music career, and he’s crossed yet another milestone off his list. The Los Angeles DJ and producer has announced the launch of his brand new artist label, IAMSIAM, inaugurating it with a single titled “How U Want It” featuring Rochelle Jordan.

“How U Want It” showcases Stewart’s eclectic yet sonically pristine style, exhibiting elements of footwork and glitch-hop as well as more contemporary bass music. Jordan’s soulful top line doesn’t hog too much room in the arrangement, but rather complements all of the other components.

In an interview with Clash, Stewart had said:

This is a huge milestone for me. I’ve wanted to start my own label ever since I learned what one was back when I was a kid. IAMSIAM feels more like a family than a label to me. All the music we are releasing is created by close friends of mine which makes it a super special and a personal thing for me. It’s also an opportunity for me to showcase the myriad of collaborations I’m involved in as most of the releases are produced by me.

“How U Want It” by Machinedrum featuring Rochelle Jordan arrives by way of IAMSIAM on August 18th. No titles, release dates or additional information have been disclosed for additional releases on the imprint at this time.
