Anja Schneider proves as inventive as ever with her latest single. The German DJ, producer and Mobilee Records founder will release “Twisty” through Hot Since 82‘s Knee Deep In Sound imprint, but she’s premiered it via Mixmag in the meantime.
Make no mistake about it, “Twisty” has plenty of dance floor utility – but Schneider didn’t surrender it to the listener right away. Elements of the arrangement gradually weave their way through for the first five minutes of the track, finally culminating to form a complete motif.
While “Twisty” has been signed to Knee Deep In Sound, Schneider’s Mobilee Records imprint is prolific in its own right. Two weeks ago Kevin Over released a three-track EP titled Easy Duke on the label, and the week prior, it provided a platform for Martin Eyerer and Markus Homm‘s Get Freaky two-tracker.
“Twisty” by Anja Schneider comes out on Knee Deep In Sound August 4th. Meanwhile, Schneider will perform at the Brooklyn Mirage tomorrow, July 29th before returning to Ibiza for the European leg of her tour.
