Hot Since 82 Shares Mini-Documentary from Even Deeper Tour

It can be difficult for dance music artists to personalize their brand, but Hot Since 82 has accomplished exactly that with a new video. The British DJ and producer (whose real name is Daley Padley) recently wrapped up a series of performances in Mexico as part of his Even Deeper tour, and he’s chronicled them in a YouTube mini-documentary titled Knee Deep in Mexico.

The video clocks in at just over seven minutes and follows Padley through his stops in Juarez, Tulum and Guadalajara. He narrates over the performance footage and exploratory segments on local culture, relaying personal anecdotes about each location. In addition he reflects on his performance at Playa Del Carmen, recalling that attendees had told him his popup event was the first normal gathering there since the BPM Festival shootings in January.

Padley has produced and performed as Hot Since 82 since 2012. 2013 was arguably his breakout year; he delivered a two-hour set for Pete Tong‘s Essential Mix radio show on BBC Radio 1 before releasing his first studio-length album, Little Black Book, by the end of the year.

Hot Since 82 continues his world tour with a performance at Gotha in Cannes, France on July 27th.
